Commission a Painting
Many of the paintings and drawings I make are painted specially, often as a gift for a loved one or to commemorate a special occasion like a wedding, a retirement, an anniversary or a birthday. All the paintings and drawings shown here were made from photographs supplied.
The special date can be incorporated into the painting and you will then have an heirloom that will long outlast other traditional gifts and won't be forgotten. It is also quite common for people to commission paintings for themselves! Subject matter covered has included portraits, houses, churches and other buildings, wedding venues, boats, seascapes, landscapes and pets like dogs, cats, horses and birds.
Prices start at around £275 for an oil painting and around £150.00 for a black and white pencil drawing. It really is quite simple to commission a painting. I will be happy to discuss all your requirements and answer all the questions you may have without any obligation. You will be supplied with details of different sized paintings along with an exact cost for each and you can then pick one which best suits your budget.
If you are thinking of commissioning a painting or drawing then please contact me and I can let you see further samples of previous work and give you an accurate cost without any obligation.

Timescale & Price Guide for un-framed commissioned paintings
A painting can be produced in about three to four weeks after the drawing is approved (sometimes quicker if necessary!). To give you an idea of the cost of an oil painting, please see the guide below. Please note that paintings can be made at any size you would like. Black and white pencil drawings will work out at around half the cost of an oil painting, depending on the subject matter.
I will be pleased to arrange framing for you if you wish and can email you images of suggested frames and let you have a cost before going ahead. Alternatively I can supply your painting unframed for you to arrange your own framing.
These prices are for an unframed painting and are based on a fairly straightforward seascape or landscape. More detailed subject matter like houses and buildings, boats, cars, portraits of people and animals etc. will cost more.
